89 Yamaha, No power??

1989 Yamaha 175hp Model 175ETXG Serial 751765<br /><br />Parked in Nov after foging motor.<br /><br />Just went out today, has power to T&T at the motor switch.<br /><br />But at controls no power to T&T, Key, Gauges??<br /><br />Any ideas?? I have looked at the connections and all look well, the battery is full charged. Wires to battery clean and tight??<br /><br />Thanks guys!

Ok I have gone out with a tester, I have made sure all connections are clean and well toghter. Checked a inline fuse on the motor and it is fine.<br />there is power from the battery to the motor and to a some kind of small box, via a thinner wire.<br /><br />I have power in ONE wire in the big wireharness.<br /><br />Power T&T works on motor but not from the controls, I can't seem to find power any where else??

well a bit of info would bring more responses. one big wire is absolutly meaningless as no one but you can see it. a color would be nice.<br /> an identification of your control box/ignition harness would be nice, I think yamaha now makes 5 versions.<br />if ya have no power to the guages why on earth would you check the nuetral start switch?

Red is hot all of the time at the control box. Yellow and blue are switch on hots. Start there to trouble shoot.
