The impeller was done one month ago. I sucked up some sand over the weekend and it stopped peeing. I noticed it before doing serious damage. tcc

Hi,
I doubt the impeller was damaged by the sand. I have run into some sandbanks with my outboard (Yamaha F115) a couple of times but it was no harm to the impeller (it was as new when it was changed last year in the normal maintenance).
I would just use a thin wire in the cooling water outlet (where it is normally peeing). It is probalby some sand, mud or other things blocking it.

/Bo

Went down to the boat yesterday, stuck some 80lb test up the pisser. The sand trickled out like an hour glass. Works great now! Thanks guys for saving me time and money! tcc
