I have a small 23' flat hull skiff. I previously had a jet unit on it until I installed the prop unit. I am wondering how low the anti-cavitation plate should go below the bottom of the hull, I am guessing level or close to level with the bottom of the boat, keep in mind it is a flat hull. It is a 150 hp four stoke yamaha.

I'd say that level is a good starting point.Water test to determine final placement by executing a few out of hole shots and some on plane turning maneuvers and note whether you experience excessive ventilation.

Yea I dropped it about 5 inches, the bottom of the plate is now about 1.75 inches above the hull The front of the plate is about 3/4 a foot away from the back of the boat, I will try it out, I had to use the manual power lift (5 people lifting) to get it on, and used a jack to lower it slowly. My old power lift was too small.

The prop that comes with it stock, the prop was in a seperate storage place than the lower unit was so I have to go and retrieve it later.
