I have tried to trace them back but many are routed through the motor housing so can't see where they end up, there is a book called the old outboard service manual, I need to find somone who has that or knows where I can get it, thanks though

Heay, gentlemen, still looking for info on this motor?

I have the exact motor, and qould show you the hookup via photos.

My problem is a direct short from the big green wire that runs to what looks to be rectifier diodes.

Is this motor a positive ground wireup?
By Skeets wire terminations it may be ?
That may answer why i have a short thru charging system !

Thank you for your time !

Autopilots,
I just purchased a West Bend 40HP Golden Shark, on a Glasscraft model 14.

The previous owner can't remember where her deceased husband of 5 years ago put the manual.

Where did you find/purchase the service manual for your engine? I need one bad.
