I just bought an aluminium boat with an Elgin Fleetwind 20 outboard on it. I was told it was made by Sears at one time. I was wondering where do I get a manual for it and possibly parts. Seems to run good but not a lot of water coming out the leg. Thanks for any help.

Hi Beeman
You will need to post the mod# and ser# of the motor. I will hazard a guess, your motor was probably made by Scott-Mcullgh.

Thanks for the reply. There are two numbers, number under the hood is 52712 and the number on the motor is 152181. Thanks for your help.

Sorry Beeman
Those numbers don't match to anything I have. Hopefully one of the other guys will have something for you.

Sears motor numbers usually start with 571 or 574
Check the mountimg clamp for numbers.
Pictures or a detailed discription might help.
I dont remember seeing a twenty.
Elgin was sold by Sears and many were built
for them by West Bend and McCulloch.I dont think
the Elgin name was used after the mid 60s.
