40 hp elgin won 't go

1961,elgin 40 hp #1542. prop hit bottom, didn't shear pin but now boat barely goes in forward or reverse.don't hear anything like stripped gears.is there a centrifical clutch on this engine?i'm not familar with boat motors but looks like i'm fixin to be.also,does this motor supposed to have a steel shear pin.

A prop shop can repair your hub for you the prop needs to be checked anyway.
