STEARING HARDNESS

I HAVE A 96 SEA RAY WITH A 5.7L ALPHA DRIVE. WENT OUT LAST WEEKEND AFTER NOT USING IT ALL WINTER. I NOTICED HARDNES IN THE STEERING. THE POWER STEERING PUMP SHOWED FULL LEVEL AND NO SIGN OF LEAKS. ANY IDEAS?

disconnect the steering cable at the power steering ram, then turn wheel, if still stiff its the steering cable. you can try lubing the cable. if it is easy to turn then you have other problems. check my post on lubing rotary steering, on this page.
