My 1991 90hp force which has run very well for me for the last 5 years has developed a problem were it ocasionally stalls while running at full throttle. if I pull the throttle back to idle for a few minutes it will then run fine. It might run for the rest of the day without doing it again. However, it is now happening more frequently. I have searched the forum and I am starting to think it might be the fuel pump. I don't think it's a clogged line, if I squeeze the ball when it's stalling it has know effect on the engine. I have rebuilt automotive engines and I would like to try to do this repair myself if it does not get to involved. Would appreciate any advice,
Thanks,
BirdEye

Re: stalls -Fuel pump?

Do you have in-hull tank? Could be debris temporarily blocking the pickup tube. How is the fuel filter? Could also be fuel pump diagram going bad.
