    What year is this Yamaha 25 HP outboard?

    Would like to find a manual for this outboard and would like to start with deciphering the id plate, mainly for the year. I have done some research but my plate does not have an ID field beside "LTD". Anyone have a guide for this oldie?

    Hooking up a starter to 1985 25hp johnson

    Recently purchased a used starter and wanting to hook it up.. my question is about wiring for the battery so it charges from the stator? Anyone care to elaborate please! A wiring diagram would be useful if someone can provide a screenshot. All i have is a starter and a solenoid at the moment...

    trying to remove powerhead 20hp 1985 johnson pleas help!

    Trying to pull the powerhead off my 85? Johnson 20hp.. got the linkage off and the 4 bolts and 2 nuts from studs removed from powerhead base but it wont budge. Am i missing something or are they just stubborn?

    1985 Johnson 25hp leg replacement how to?

    So I was pulling up to my dock and head the exhaust get extremely loud. I didn't hit anything but when I looked was amazed that my leg broke in half just above the foot.     As the title says WTB Carb to fit a 2000 merc outboard, not sure but I think 1997 and up will work. Also looking for an online service manual if anyone knows where to find that. Thanks in advance! roddy

    What other years/models can I swap my 1985 25hp Johnson rewind started from?

    Going to look at a parts motor this afternoon, want to purchase it because i need a recoil and a few smaller parts. It looks a little newwer than mine and am wondering what other years/models i can swap out a rewind started from.. from my research i think a 20-40hp will fit but only 1985-1987...
