    Quick question if I may. I have a Alpha 1 Gen ll with 1.5 Gears, looking to install a new 383 with 320 HP and 440 ft of torque. Will my drive hold or should I just run a 350 ? Boat is a 20? Hot Shot, weight according to Baja web site is 2400 lbs dry

    383 Questions

    Anyone know the diff in a marine 383 and the HT383 truck motors? The HT383 has 340 HP and 435 Ibs of torque at 4000 rpm's, max rpm is 5000. Looking to upgrade a 5.0 in a 95' Baja Hot Shot. Will my Alpha 1 handle the HP and torque ? A little more info: Boat weight is about 2600 lbs dry...
