Found this 81 or 82 Merc 80hp on kijiji 2 days ago. Complete engine with controls, tilt pump, and a spare prop. Guy was asking $700 CAD, worked him down to $450 CAD (about $350 for those in the states). Its replacing the old 45 Chrysler that my boat came with. Don't know too much about boats...
