    Lower unit oil

    Do I have to use a marine lower unit oil or any oil that meets the "MIL" Spec. The motors are 1989 Evenrude 225 hp. This is just a question for consideration. And are there any that you would recomend for any reason ?.

    What to doo ?

    I have a 1985 Wellcraft Scarab Sport with twin counter roating 225 Evenrudes 1989. The props are OMC 14 1/4 x 21. I can only get 4000 aprox. rpm at WOT and it takes a long time to plane. Can anyone tell me if this seems like a prop problem or something else ?

    CORRECT SPARK PLUG GAP

    My OMC manual says 0.040 and my Climer manual says OMC made a change to 0.030 which is correct ?. This info is for a 1989 evenrude 225 hp. using champion QL77JC4 plugs.
