Thanks Alldodge for your input. I was able to get the boat running and timed. Turns out the distributor was out far enough that ignition wasnt possible. I started over finding TDC and so on. Fired right up. Thanks again
Delco came with two wiring harnesses, one between the coil and distributor and plug with two pigtails one tail (grey connected to the tac wire in the main wiring harness and the other is purple which is from the old coil terminal. I turn the key and measured voltage at the new coil end plug.
