    Fuel Pump? (1989 Evinrude 175 VRO)

    I have a 1989 Evinrude 175 hp VRO having fuel problems. If I prime the gas bulb so it is hard, the engine will start and continue to run for 1 minute then die and the priming bulb is again soft.     15 x 17 prop vs 15.25 x 17

    I need to swap out the prop on my 1989 175hp Evinrude outboard. The current prop is 15" diameter x 17" pitch however, I can get a 15.25" x 17" for cheap. How much of a difference would the 0.25" increase make? should i just spend the extra money to get the same size? thank you in advance
