    Compession bad

    Well the boat has been sitting for a few yrs. Took the plugs out spraied WD40 into cylinders. Took compression check. #1 and #8 had 0 psi.. 4 others had about 100 psi. The other 2 had around 170. Not looking too good. Is there anything esle I should check before tearing it down?

    Have a Marada 98 with a 305 in it. Does anyone have a service manual that I can download to see exactly what I have. Thanks.:D

    Sbc?

    OK a couple of questions. The 5.0 is a 305 chevy but what are the differences between a marine engine and regular engine. I have a few things been sitting in the garage for a sbc.     Kinda new at this boat thing. Just picked up a 1998 Marada. It hasa 5.0 I/O Mercruiser in it. Looking a the engine it looks like a small block chevy engine. Is it a chevy engine? Also the boat has beem sittng for a few yrs. What would be the best way to start this engine after sitting so long...
