Hey all--
I am having problems with my 6hp 2000 Yamaha 4 stroke. The outboard will start then run for anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes then die all of the sudden.
1) I checked the oil and it was suspiciously low so I filled it up.
2) I cleaned out my fuel tank and replaced with new fuel...
First off I stored my engine on the wrong side. I then tried to start the engine but the pull cord would not pull. I then manually moved the flywheel around to see if that was the problem (hopefully I didn't blow a seal?). I then drained the oil, pulled the cord several time to get the oil out...
