EFI engines are more expensive than carburated to buy and I am looking to save money on my repowering project... This brings aspects of maintanenece, gas consumption, resale value etc. Whats your opinion?
I would like to repower my boat with new engines and keeping old drives which are in much better shape than engines.
I saw reasonably priced, factory rebuilt Mercury engines.

I have done bellows job couple of times and noticed that drive slides out easily.
I would like to pull the engine out at my dock without hustle of towing the boat.
