I have worked on this engine for weeks, it has a new CDI electronics ignition and I have replaced everything. the first Compression test showed 130 PSI per cylinder. it has started a few times for a few seconds and quits.
I followed your procedure after I reassembled the engine. I was trying once again to ensure that the new fuel lines where no kinked. I tried to start and nothing. I took out the new spark plugs that I just bought from the boat shop. They only had the alternate its the one with no ground strap...
The sensor is installed I have good spark and cannot get the engine to fire. Rebuilt carburetor and fuel pump, replaced plugs and wires, replace hoses. the engine will not start. What am I missing?
I have been trying to install a CDI Electronics Power pack conversion part number 113-4488 on my 1989 Johnson 9.9 Serial number R08241545 Model TJ10ELCES. I am having difficulty getting the sensor to fit properly and could really use some instruction.
The engine starts at the first turn of the key with fogging oil. Today I drained the old gas and am ready to run new hose. The problem is I bought 5/16 instead of 3/8 will this be an issue for a 115 horse power?
Obviously from the pictures the transom is roached, and it looks like Papa Roach has made some roachy repairs. I am not concerned about that because 1) I paid nothing for the boat. 2) Transom in a can (Arjay 6011) comes UPS. 3) The compression test scored 130 PSI in all 6 cylinders. Yeah she...
