    On my Motorguide FW40FB, the steering cable slips out of the rack gear. How are they supposed to remain connected?

    Brackish water cleaning?

    I boat in a river that drains into Lake Ponchartrain, but Southeast winds push salt water into the river. Can anyone recommend a thread that lists basic salt-water cleaning procedures? Is brackish water a concern? We're talking about a new-to-me aluminum bass boat.

    1992 40hp idle adjustment

    My Johnson (new to me) runs fine except at idle. Is there an easy-to-get-to adjustment screw to raise the idle RPMs? I didn't see a manual for my motor on this site. Model number is TJ40ELENM.
