    Thanks for the recommendations. I threw the towel in on this repair. I hired a pro he came in rebuilt the carburetor “totally” and hooked up a small gas tank. The motor ran perfectly on high and low idle. He also ordered me to drain the tank and refill with fresh fuel. I’m left thinking...

    2008 3.0L thermostat housing sensors

    I just went through this with my boat. I only know of two. The red one is for the over heat alarm. The smaller one is A temp sender to the gauge. Not sure about the third? You could look up the mercrusier manual on line. Lots of good repair information.

    Thanks for the suggestions. I installed a new fuel filter located on the bottom of the fuel pump. $10. Part. Started the engine, enrichment valve worked perfectly and engine ran like a top. Drove me crazy but it’s FIXED!!!!!
