I have a 68 9.5 sportwin that is running ok but seems to be only one cylinder. I noticed this when I wen to go WOT and it dogged along at about 10mph.
I got new plugs, roughed up the wire in the plug boots and used some dialectric grease with no real change. I can pull the plug wire off the top...
Morning, I went to head out fishing this morning only to discover I had no
steering I couldn't move it at all.
The boat is kept in a garage and thoroughly hosed down after each trip out
in the salt water and I have purged and re-greased it every season but there
has been a crack in the hose...
I noticed my battery needed to be charged up after every couple runs fishing and since the boat ran fine otherwise I didn't look too hard into it.

Evening, after my last trip out fishing I notice there was a puddle of oil below my motor and I'm wondering what it's from.
A basic google search indicates maybe the prop seal and it's gear oil leaking out? It's black as you can see in the picture, is gear oil black?
