Thanks for your reply , after much research the 4th wire will be just extra will work fine . It is a rectifier for a Evinrude 60 hp 1986 model E60elcds .
I understand what your saying but I don’t want to have to return the one I have if it will still work . I will look at the cheaper ones next time . I was just wondering if I can still use the 4 wire one . Thanks
Got a new rectifier from marine parts store . They gave me a 4 wire rectifier and I had mine with me which is a 3 wire . The new one has 3 yellow wires and one red . The old one had 2 yellow wires and one red . They said I could just put 2 yellow wires together and hook it up the way it was ...
