The boat started about a month ago when we put I put a battery charger on it. I assumed all I need to put was charge the battery. Once I charged the battery the engine won't turn over.... It doesn't even try to turn over. What I have done up to this point... Checked ignition with test...
I have 1995 OMC King Cobra 3868211 with a bent propeller shaft. Can a experienced person replace the shaft or should I have it rebuilt by a shop? In additon, I was told that this unit might cross over to early Volvo Pentas. Is that true?

So I found the problem..... I pulled off the top cover of the down drive and found both gears destroyed. Checked the coupler and everything else appears to be fine. Question is how can i take apart the...
We were on the lake on last weekend and going along smoothly. Than we heard a noise and now the boat won't go in gear. Acts like it is in neutral. If you put it in reverse the engine dies. Any idea what could have happened?
