    Knocking over 1500 rpm in gear only

    When in gear motor starts knocking about 1500 rpm, started knocking lightly and got louder last time out to where I haven't had it above idle again. Below that no knock. Out of gear can run it up to 3000 rpm smooth, no knocking. Any ideas? Could it be bad spark in 1 cyl or a carb needing...

    Water flow is low, 85 hp

    1984 85 hp 4 cyl. Is there a t-stat? Haven't been able to find one. Only a dribble of water out of the tell hole and the psi guage reads 0-1 at idle and 4 psi WOT. Haven't run it much till I figure out if it's getting proper cooling. New impeller installed. Any places to check for blockage...

    Need water tube from pump to motor.

    I was working on my 82 9.8E Mercury LS. When I removed the lower unit to replace the impeller I found that the tube from the water pump to the motor is missing. Where can I find a replacement?

    Run motor without harness?

    86 evinrude 150 vro.<br />Is there any way to run the motor without the harness attached. Will be mixing the fuel. Would like to start tunning but boat isnt ready for it.

    Where on the motor do I test for voltage to the ignition. There is a block in the side numbered.
