    winterizing fuel

    is seafoam considered a fuel stabilizer? i usually use stabil, but have a couple of cans of seafoam laying around, can i use them in the fuel to prevent varnish? :confused:

    MARINER LOWER UNIT (1975)

    am thinking of rebuilding lower unit, where can I get the best parts price? I will need a manual for sure, and will replace the impeller. Is it near the bottom by the gears? I've never had a mariner apart. THANX BOB WILLIAMS

    reply to baits

    I livr in northern wisc. and around here a purple. grape scented crawler with a small splitshot really hammers the bass. Also a black and blue crawdad rigged texas style. let it sink to the bottom and work it slow, its weedless and the bass really go for them. Hope this gives you some ideas...

    can someone give me tips and procedures to decarc a 40 hp mariner on boat-in water. remove plugs &soak pistons ? thanx in advance--bob williams ;)
