Need to know if this motor is worth saving. Called the dealer they said not worth it bit it seems like a good motor. It blew a rod and put a hole in the casing. Another person said the crank has to be pressed in which is 800it dollars?? Im not sure what to do??
Hey everyone trying to break this motor down and replace everything but I got stuck. Lower unit won't come off...I removed shift linkage and all 12mm bolts it dropped half inch but wont come free...any ideas??

Ok so bought a boat and everything is good but at the dock it wont idle down for a long time. You have to basicly slam it into gear and hit the throttle. Even after cruising the lake for 30 min you get to the dock it will idle for a bit then die.
