was attempting to put a water pump impeller in my johnson model j35pl3eem with forward controls. when seperating shifter nut behind water inlet did not no it was stuck and wouldn seperate. so i unscrewed it from up inside the midsection[way up] what needs to be removed to thread the upper part...
just bought a used 2004 honda outboard model bfp15d has been sitting in garage for five yrs with fuel[with stabaliser]in carb. before trying to run i took out bowl drain to get very little fuel out of it, so i left drain out and keep pumpimg new fuel thru it. it did start right up but run...
