    Im looking to buy drums of oil and cut out all the Gallons and Quarts , what oil would cover Honda , Mercury , Mercruiser and Yamaha ? Could I use regular aoutmotive oil ? Does it have to be a Synthetic Blend or could I go for regular oil ?

    I just redid the oil pump on my 225 ( 2005 ) and she ran great on the sea trial , today I went down and the engine light is flashing .     300 hp Etecs PTT issues

    Hi there . Ive got twin 300 Etecs and when I tilt down the motore they shudder and bounce like crazy , Ive greased all the lube points and no difference . Could there be something wrong internally , any ideas ?

    1998 250 hp hohnson ignition problem

    Ive got this motor and it will only run if you hold the starter in , the moment you let go she dies . Got voltage on purple wire , bypassed the neutral safety switch and no change . Any ideas ?

    200 Hp Yamaha flat spot

    My motor runs great from start up to WOT , if I bring my rpm down to keep her running on plain and then hit the throttle again she has a flat spot for a second and then she takes and runs great again . Ive cleaned the carbs , my fuel is clean . Any ideas ?

    50 HP Honda not reving

    Ive got a 2010 50 HP Honda and I cant get the engine to rev more than around 3500 rpm , Ive checked the fuel filters , fuel lines and primer bulb . Ive run the motor under load and in neutral , could it be the TPS sensor . There are no alarms sounding or any visual problems . Any ideas ?

    Yanmar 6LP-STE wont idle

    This engine wont idle under 1000 rpm , when I come back to neutral it will shut off and I have to give it throttle to get it started again . Sometimes it will shut down around 1500 -1800 when I start throttling down . Ive changed all the filters , washers , swopped the primer pumps over , ran it...

    2006 Honda 90 hp carb issues

    I pulled the carbs off my engine and cleaned them , then I only had # 1 2 firing so I cleaned the bottom 2 carbs again and now I have # 1 2 3 firing but not # 4 , Ive got good spark and compession , any ideas ? There cant be any dirt left in te carb so Im outta ideas .

    90 hp Optimax VST voltage low

    Ive got a 2008 90 hp optimax and Im only getting 4.9 volts to the fuel pump , aparently the 115 hp had this problem . Has anybody heard of this or is there a bulletin out from Mercury ?

    225 Optimax overheat alarm

    Ive got a 1999 225 Optimax , if i run under 2000 rpm she runs great but aything over that and after about 2 miles the overheat will sound and the light will come on . The boat has the old 4 gauge style , any ideas ? The merc tec has a CDI programme but it wont read on this engine as its to old .

    250hp yamah alarms

    Ive got two 250 yamahas and when i come of the plain and idle to the dock ive alarms sounding . A guy ran a scan and it showed the air sensors were faulty , swopped them out and still no change , but now I got nobody to run a scan to check for cods again . Any ideas ?

    4.3L Mercruiser milky oil

    Ive got a mercruiser 4.3 , the oil had water in it . I changed the manifolds and risers , did a compression test and it seemed fine . Did 3 hrs on the boat and have water in the oil again , any ideas ?
