    Well If I google mercruisers part it shows some hoses with an elbow a drain plug attached the photo. This is why I'm confused the hoses seem to include these joiners and the extra hose.

    Yeah looking at it think your right, I'll loosen the clamp and try push it on a bit more. Only thing that has me confused is mercruiser parts refer to this other hose 32-861590A05 I think its the one in the pic i have attached.

    My water circulation pump bearing went and snapped my drive belt. The power steering hose was in front of one of the bolts couldnt get to it ... i disconnected the blue hose and drained the power steering fluid coming out.     5.0 Thunderbolt does it have a pcv valve or is it hollow?

    Yeah that's why I wasn't sure but all good. Got the boat a year ago and just going through the boat replacing things done the plugs,rotor,cap,coil, engine oil and filter, leg oil runs pretty good. Just got a timing gun and impeller kit.
