I am trying to purchase an anode part number 3852970 for sx drive inner cavity. I am told from my uk supplier that is shows up on computer as nla no longer available. Has it be replaced or no longer required.
I have taken apart my trim cylinders because of the constant leak in there.
Looking at the stainless extension bars they are pitted and need replacing but I cannot seem to get them as seperate parts. Therefore a local machine shop is the answer I feel but am trying to get the drawings for them...
I have removed my outdrive on the boat for essential maintenance and have had the chance to now throughly clean all the components before replacing.

Removed my drive yesterday and found 2 lumps of moulten plastic in the exhaust bellows. Did have an issue sometime ago with a Perko valve breaking and causing overheating.
Not had a chance yet to check engine side bellows but all looks OK from the outside with no leaks and has been running fine...

I was changing the belts this week on the boat and have noticed that the main pulley drive moves about but I have tried to tighten the 4 bolts on there but they seem OK.
Is it normal for this pulley to be loose?
It does make a noise also when driving
How can I tighten it up?

I have just noticed a noise coming from the large wheel at the front of the engine which I believe is for the camshaft? Its not any of the other drive belt wheels but just seems to be this one only
My mate reckons it may be a dry bearing, how can I investigate or get some lube in there.

Volvo Penta specify that you must use there ATF oil for topping up the trim/tilt sytem but it seems way over priced.
Does anyone know the oil specification, I am sure it can be bought cheaply from an auto store and do the same job?
Bought some silver spray for SX leg, antifoul, what is the best way to prepare the surface. I have compressed air to clean down and also a small shot blaster, can this be used to remove surface paint?
