    removing drive for first time - what is the "white sealing compound"?

    I'm removing the stern drive myself for the first time. looking through the manual it says to apply "white sealing compound for drives" to the 6 studs. what is this stuff? there is also regular reference to pent grease 828250 - is there a non volvo alternative for this? ​thanks!
