I have an 1986 140 Merc I/O (3.0L inline 4 cyl, alpha I outdrive), I had the engine rebuilt 3 years ago and just now got around to putting it back in. While I had the engine out I bought a new spline coupler gimbal bearing and gimabal seal as well.
I just got the engine back in and started...
Short Story ? had the 4 cyl engine in my 86 Merc 140 rebuilt. Got it back together and it will start for about 2 secs then it dies. Any suggestions would be a huge help! Thanks!
