I am getting water in my engine compartment (after we had a storm and the boat was jolted up and down) i have a i/o not a closed system,and no holes in the bottom
I HAVE A MAXUM 2000/5.7/250HP.STARTS UP IN A SEC.<br />RUNS REAL SMOOTH WHEN TAKING OUT GOING EASY FOR ABOUT 10.MIN.THAN I OPEN UP FULL SPEED,AFTER ABOUT 1 MIN.IT START HESATATE AT WICH POINT I TROTTLE BACK AND IS OK IT DOES NOT STALL.CLEANED OUT ALL SCREENS VENTS (ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP?)
after been in storage for 7mnths did oil chanche checked w/pump impeller etc.run fine went for ride about 2 1/2 hr than in idle speed all of sudden stalled,dieseld for about 3seconds stopped.<br />when tryed to restart engine atempted to go but only turned over 1/4 of a turn starter gets hot...
