Last year we were out and my brother in law said is sounded like it may be getting choked out so I took the fuel cap off and it ran well the rest of the day. I then tried unclogging the vent on the side of the boat by the gas tank but it again started to stall while out the next time.
Thanks for your reply...the stalling normally happens while the boat is moving. It usually happens while I am in a constant speed for a bit of time. I am not a mechanic by no means, but can fix minor things. I thought this may have been a gas issue.
I have a 1999 Sportcraft 211 walkaround with a Volvo Penta 4.3GL. I had the boat to a mechanic when first purchased and he did a complete tune up and once over, the boat ran like brand new the first time out...then, I made the rookie mistake of filling it with regular unleaded fuel.
It stalls...
I have a ‘99 Sportcraft 210 walk around with a Volvo penta out drive. I want to put a trolling motor on the stern. My question...is a 9.9
4-stroke ok with a short shaft or is a long shaft needed? Or, any better suggestions? I’d be trolling mainly for walleye in the Great Lakes.
Thanks for...
