My buddy brought his boat by my house the other day, wanting me to put a lower unit on it when he got a new one.
He took it out for the first time this year on Sunday. When he pushed it off the trailer he said it wouldn't go anywhere, Didn't bang/click or anything, Just wouldn;t move forwards...

I just got a 2000 model Mercury 150 xr6 .... And im trying to use my old controls from my 84 mercury 150 .... And i dont think it has an alarm.... I have an alarm to wire in... And from the schematic i read... I figured i could wire it up on the motor... Just to see if that would work... And...
im trying to get a mercury classic 3000 throttle control apart to get it out of the boat... Ive taken like every bolt out i can find... Is there a trick to getting them apart..
Im switching my boat over from a 84 merc blackmax 150.... To a 2000 model Merc 150.... On the control wiring... i think the plug ins are the same... but i noticed the new motor has a couple extra wires ... Does anyone know if i need to hook them up... Or if i can just ignore them... Or do i have...

I have looked all over and i just cant find the exact gaskets i need.. Everything i look at i just cant convince my self that is the gasket i need...

ive got an 84 merc 150 black max... and when i bought it the male and female quick disconect would not stay together and i could not get it to stay together long enough to get back to the trailor so i just by-passed it...

so i got my seloc manual .. and ive been wanting to change my water pump beouse i just bought the boat and i dont think the pump is up to power... at idle it just spits out the tell tale.... not a consistant stream.. and upon start up it takes awhile to get water.... i know the pump hasnt been...
ok ive got a 150hp mercury and its got a ss21p prop(i sorta think its been worked on) but my WOT ...with the trim up pretty far...far enough for a rooster tail was 6200(if my tach is right)... as of right now i dont remember my WOT with no trim i will get that this weekend... but ive got some...
