    I mix my acid with corn starch to make a gel and paint it on. Way fewer drips on the trailer. Folk recommended wallpaper paste but that was too sticky if it got the chance to dry.

    Buy an old Singer 201k sewing machine and sew a patch on. I got one off ebay for pennies a year or so ago and have sewed multiple patches on an aging boat cover and have replaced windows in a cockpit cover, along with countless other jobs. It's a quality machine. Mine was made in 1942!

    Get an old singer 201k sewing machine. I picked up one of Ebay for 30 quid (40 dollars) and it has helped me make many repairs to boat covers and canvas. That includes sewing new windows into a canvas cockpit cover. The machine is quite remarkable given the fact it was made in 1941!

    Code stamped on the top right or left of the transom usually? Last 2 digits are the year of manufacture.

    80 would be the warmest day of the year here in Ireland! I guess it's all relative. We always pull out at the end of October. Temps will be down to 50 by then... 5mm wetsuits all season is the norm...
