    help changing impeller

    I have 1984 merc. 150hp ....trying to drop the lower unit, but there is bolt under torque fin that you cannot get a wrench or socket on !!! Is there a speciality tool needed??? also do you have to disconnect shift linkage?? any help or directions appreciated !!

    disconnecting shift linkage?

    I am trying to change impeller on 1984 merc. 150hp.....do I have to disconnect shift linkage...if so, how ????????<br /><br />thanks in advance !!
