Instructions on the correct installation of a welch plug on the I/O? What do you guys use to install them? I installed this new one and it floated around until the permatex dried. I assume it's supposed to be a tight fit. (Photos attached, #5 on the schematic)

plugs .035--pts. .016 or dwell 39 to 45 degrees timing 8 degrees at 800 rpm with mid grade gas. Run some product thru the engine before adj. the valves that may stop the noise. [ATF?] if that don't work...
What effect does changing the diameter have? Approximate RPM change? Faster acceleration or top speed?
Is the manufacturers diameter accurate or is is rounded?
My used props diameter measures around 13.75 but the manufacturer says it's 14"

I have a vibration noise when turning at slow speeds. Seems to be coming from driveshaft/hub area so I'm thinking worn splines on shaft/ hub since I just replaced the u-joints, gimble bearing and checked alignment. If I continue to use the boat will it damage anything that doesn't already need...
1966 v164 with 110 hp I-4. Front engine mount missing looks like it's missing a part. There is a gap between the bracket and the washer at the top 1/4" I can lift the engine up a little but the drive shaft seems to move freely in and out of the coupling so I don't know if I should leave it alone...
