    115 SPL Lifespan

    My 1997 115 SPL just turned 1300 hours. It still runs fine and the last compression check was perfect. About how many hours could I expect to get before it's time to repower or rebuild?

    1997 115 SPL misses at idle

    Fishing line behind prop

    When putting 115 spl, 1997, away for winter, found a ball of fishing line behind prop. Unwond it and removed, had some peel out from behind the seal around the prop shaft. Seal around shaft is not torn up and looks ok. Do I need to take apart and reseal? Lower end oil looked OK when I drained.
