    compression on '83 9.9 mariner?

    what should the compreeion be? could this cause a<br />fuel pump to not work,yet allow engine to run when fuel placed directly into carb?

    9.9 mariner not getting fuel does the fuel pump require priming? mine doesn't seem to be pumping. its new,recently installed by me.

    1983 9.9 mariner not getting fuel

    Motor not getting fuel.if i put fuel directly into the carb after removing airbreather it runs for a short. With breather of and choke set it sucks air thru the port on the choke flapper apparently satis factory. The bulb doesn't get completely firm and air seems to be entering the filter bowl...

    9.9 mariner fuel pump assembly

    The inlet connection to the fuel pump snapped off(Uncle's motor). I have all new parts,but don't know order of assembly.Basically,does diaphrams go against fuel pump body or against endcap/carb in relation to the gaskets?
