    Spark problem

    I have a 87 Bayliner with an 3.0 OMC I/O. I have changed the coil 3 times :mad:and still it keeps on burning out the coil. I have gone as far as to disconect the whole harness and run battery power thru a resistor to the coil then fron the coil thru a resistor to the distribitor. Runs great for...

    Coil?

    :confused:Ok here is the problem, I keep on shorting out the coil on my 87 Bayliner w ith a 3.0 OMC. This will be the 3rd one now. Anyone have any ideas on why? Getting a little bit to expensive to keep changing them.
