    On a volvo 5.7 carb.set-up would there be any gains in performace/ fuel economy by increasing my 140 deg. thermostat to a higher, say 165 deg. or so thermo?

    Fuel consumption vs. RPM

    Now this may need to be redirected to the engine gurus, but here goes. In a carburated engine, at wot, when we see rpms decrease due to the increase in drop pitch, do we see a decrease in gph? I'm trying to go for fuel econ. in a prop selection. Thanks for replies.

    I was wondering what to expect out of the various keel protectors (keel guard, keel shield,etc.)in terms of long term durability and wearability. I'm a little concerned about being stuck with a protector that may in itself develope scrapes cuts etc. that may effect performance and appearance...
