    Voltmeter Problem

    Have a 2005 Yamaha 115 HP 4 stroke on a Hurricane Fundeck boat. Analog voltmeter gage became irratic and now does not work, so I cannot tell if alternator / generator is charging. What's the trouble shooting process?? Thanks
