    Elite4 HDI and HDS 8 question

    I have just ordered an Elite 4 HDI unit with the 83/200 455/800kHz transducer. It has a Downscan feature. I am borrowing a HDS 8 headunit . If I use the same transducer, will I get the same down scan imaging with the hds8 as I will on the E4? If not, what equipment will I need to buy?

    1976 85hp FWD/REV issues.

    I bought the boat last summer and was told it had issues with rev, so I knew what I was getting into.
