    Boating in saltwater

My plan is to keep it dry stored. I will definitely flush after every use to minimize damage. I'm not familiar with the different types of anodes; I'll do some research. It looks like you've had some experience and really understand how to stay out of trouble.

    Boating in saltwater

I have a 2004 Sunesta 252/Mercruiser 350 Mag/Bravo3 that has always been in freshwater. I would like to go to saltwater in the future, permanently. What concerns should I have in terms of maintenance? Flushing after each use? Altering the cooling components, etc.? Rust-proofing tips? I...

Replacing Portside Bravo 3 Trim Cylinder

I tried that, and every other way imaginable, but still no luck. Just wondering if there's some kind of puller out there, that would be effective without damaging the outdrive...

Replacing Portside Bravo 3 Trim Cylinder

I received the trim cylinder, removed the appropriate nuts and washers, and I could not get the trim cylinders loose. They seem to be binding in place. I even tapped on the pin from the opposite side, but no luck. As usual, this is not as straightforward as I thought! Any suggestions???

Are there any videos on doing this? Is it fairly straightforward? Are there any areas of caution or pitfalls? Thanks in advance, Dan

    Bravo 3 trim cylinder leak

Hello, My Bravo 3 has a hydraulic ram that has finally gone from a very slow leak to complete failure, resulting in the outdrive just dropping down since I parked it yesterday evening. It knew it had a slow leak, and I brought it to the attention of my shop owner, but we thought it could make...

    1978 Mark Twain 180 V-Sonic

Hi, S10Sinner, It looks like you have your work cut out for you! Our family had a similar boat; I believe it was a '77 model which was purchased in '78, from the dealer. We thought it was a pretty sweet boat! I had a lot of fun memories! I think about it occasionally; I wish I had more pics...

    Spider Cracks Repair

Thanks, Scott, I'll pick up some styrene if I need to do some thinning of the material. I've used the paste as you have described-to fill chips and holes. As for the holes, I've been made aware (after placing the material) that there will be some shrinkage, due to polymerization (I should have...

    Spider Cracks Repair

I have viewed videos that iBoats presented, and I've seen the instructor use gelcoat from Spectrum Color that appears to have a thinner consistency than what I got from them. I tried to find them online, but their website doesn't work; no support available. Any ideas??

    Vessel View installation

I just purchased a Vessel View for my Chaparral 2004 Sunesta 252 Mag350. I was under the impression from all sources that I researched, that there are either ports or direct plug-in to the engine. I couldn't find anything compatable. Any ideas???

Instrument cluster poorly illuminated; tachometer doesn't work...

Thanks, everyone, for your input! I'll soon be exploring this, and finding solutions/upgrades! :-)) On another note, I'm thinking that finding out why/how my tachometer is not working will be another adventure. ;-/ In the meantime, I've ordered Vessel View Mobile, which allows me to get...

Instrument cluster poorly illuminated; tachometer doesn't work...

Hi, Scott, Thanks for the prompt reply! I thoroughly cleaned all battery connections yesterday, when I was in the engine compartment addressing some other items. I'll be going to the helm next. I'm not looking forward to navigating that maze!!! ;-/
