    Cavitation Plate, location

    I had a Force 85 replaced by an Evinrude 115 on a Chrysler Charger 183. The engine now cavitates before it comes up on plane. The cav plate is 1.5" above the stern bottom.     Repowering from 88/Force-85hp to John-100hp

    I lost the trigger and stator on the Force last Friday and decided to buy a 70's vintage Johnson 100. Where can I find the weights of the engines to compare? Would you sell the Force as a repairable unit or in parts? The Force is in perfect condition other than the trigger & stator.
