The Alternator output wire... does it go to the starter (battery) post connection? Its buried in the loom and I cant tell.
There is a circuit breaker mounted on the top of the engine (V8 Chevy)... is that for the starter solenoid or Alternator charging circuit?

Jus t wondering what the proper grease to use on the prop hub spline is. Also, what to use on bolts in the outdrive... like zinc b olts etc to keep them from freezing up.
I'd like to replace my starter or rebuild it. It's a 1982 VP 5.0 litre Chevy engine. All the starters I see for sale dont look like mine. Mine has the solenoid mounted on the body of the motor. It doesnt "lever" the gear.... this starter must be a centrifugal activated gear.
