    I took out my 1977 evinrude 140 model 140743S and mixed the gas with 1 quart oil to 6 gallons instead of 1 pint to six gallons.     evinrude 140 idles rough, surges

    I just replaced timer base, power pack and rebuilt carbs. it's running much better but still not right, idles rough, surges and engine bucks until I rev up then everything starts to smooth a bit . could this be timing issue? any ideas, it seems like its missing but i am getting spark on all 4...

    gear lube quantities for 1977 Evinrude 140

    How much gear lube is needed to fill the resevior when I change the premium gear lube in the lower unit so I know how much to buy.
