    1989 3.0 idle issues

    Engine fires right up and runs smooth for about 15 seconds everytime I crank it. Then I have to throttle it to keep it from dying. Adusted the one (only has one) idle mixture screw on the side (base) of carb everywhere from the 1 1/4 turns out as manual says to all other points, no difference...

    No spark? 89 larson 3.0 mercruiser 130 hp

    Running out of ideas and hate to just keep replacing things. Here's what I've done.......New points, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, condenser and coil. I've checked the gap twice .22 all good. new battery, charged. Turns over good, I'm getting no spark. When I put a test light on the positive side...
