    Hey Doc,<br />I'm the one who had the 200 Merc. with deceleration knock. I did give the shop the info you gave me about serv. bulletin from Mercury. Picked it up Friday. Runs much better and no knock. He said they adjusted the timing and carb. linkage. Whatever they did it worked. Thanks again...

    Just bought a 2001 Merc. 200hp caburated, saltwater motor. it's on a 23' Fishmaster. Motor runs great but after about 8.5 hrs it started to make clattering noise.
